Construction Manager

Job Description

  • Manage daily onsite construction tasks. 
  • Work in the field and onsite daily.
  • Insure that all site logins have been completed
  • Make sure that all crews have completed JSA/JHA and attended the daily job site safety tailgate meeting and understand the sites risks.
  • Check that the crews have logged in/out using the required method of the customer (phone NOC, or APP related tool check in.
  • Verify all materials needed to complete the project are ready to go prior to mobilization 
  • Check safety required conformance, such as OSHA, Tower Climb certs, Rescue climber certs and inspect safety equipment for any issues.
  • Report daily to the project manager (PM) all site progress and forecasted starts/stops/ integration schedules.  
  • Update any schedule changes to the PM
  • Track any changes to the Scope of work (SOW) and report to the PM with photo back up.
  • Insure that all needed materials are onsite and ready for the crews to install.
  • Prepare crews for integration.
  • Insure the crews complete the site close out package (COP) prior to leaving the site.
  • Insure all customer antenna, radios, diplexers, cabinets, other assets materials that are tracked, are returned by RMA to the carrier and accounted for by signature when returned.
  • Attend any needed pre-con walks or deployment meetings that may be requested by the PM.
  • Daily communications with the customer CM's 
  • Provide PO tracking and receipt of goods.
  • Provide a list of site specific consumables to the PM and order by PO, if requested.

Qualifications

  • Telecommunications experience with mobile cellular, towers, tower crews, civil, microwave, technology systems, quality control, safety planner/observer.
  • Must have a good driving record with current and valid driver license
  • Ability to manage work in remote locations, including some travel as necessary for the job.
  • Understand and use MS Word, Excel, Outlook. 
  • Must be able to use customer phone applications for log-in, tracking, verifying site details.
  • Proficient at reading and understanding CD's, RFDS, structural details/instructions,  integration practices, testing of the technologies being used or modified,      
  • Safety enforcement for all safety onsite, know the TIA 1019 and 1022 regulations as well as local jurisdictional      requirements that may be site specific
  • Provide strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and able to make decisions quickly/confidently, provide prompt return calls and emails, and keep the customer counterparts informed
  • Professionally represent the Company at all times.
